Grounds

The home faces the ocean with a expansive front lawn. This is where the old parade grounds and shooting range were located.

Tin Ceilings

One outstanding feature downstairs is the one-piece, coffered tin ceilings that are believed to be the only remaining example of the one-piece tin ceilings. These were installed to protect the plaster ceiling from firing rounds at the shooting range during the time the officers lived here throughout the Spanish-American war.

Fireplaces

The fireplaces in each of the rooms are all original coal fireplaces. Although they are no longer functional, the original tile makes for beautiful decoration in several of our rooms.
